MTN SA has unveiled a new  MTN Mahala prepaid starter pack, containing added value incentives including free airtime, internet bundles as well as free SMSs for the first six months of use.

This new Mahala Starter Pack is priced at per second rates and delivers 20% free MTN to MTN airtime value back to the customer for R10 or more recharges for six months. In addition, customers are also awarded with a 10 MB free internet bundle for R100 or more airtime recharges per month. MTN customers also get five free SMSs for every 15 SMSs they send.

The MTN Mahala starter pack is available across all MTN stores and via MTN Zoners who sell MTN Starter packs and airtime to the public.

“As a leader in the prepaid market and a telecommunications provider of choice for millions of South Africans, we understand that our customers want value for every rand they spend on their mobile phones,” said Serame Taukobong, chief marketing officer at MTN SA.

“The success and popularity of our MTN Mahala offering to prepaid customers; which includes Mahala Thursdays, Mahala Day and Mahala Night, Mahala Weekend, Mahala International Calls and Mahala Data; has prompted us to introduce a new starter pack that allows new customers to enjoy more value,” Taukobong concluded.

In related news, MTN South Africa also recently announced that it is reviving Mahala Thursdays, providing Prepaid and TopUp customers who recharge their airtime balance with a minimum of R10 on Thursdays, with an additional 50% of their recharge value loaded on their account.
