On Digital Media has announced the availability of a new TopTV deal of R299 for the decoder satellite dish and installation.

The company launched South Africa’s second pay TV service in May 2010 with an initial price tag of R499 and a monthly subscription starting from R99 per month. Although DStv soon matched the price point, this new drop again sets the cat among the pigeons.

Subscribers to TopTV can enjoy channels such as BET, Fox Entertainment, Discovery Science, Discovery Travel & Living, Investigation Discovery, Fine Living Network, Current TV, as well as MGM and news channels.

During September subscribers can look forward to a screening of a documentary on Nelson Mandela featuring never before seen footage, which will air on Heritage Day (24 September) on Top History (channel 301). Music lovers’ taste will also be catered as they can watch the fifth annual BET Hip Hop Awards on 16 October.

New channels will be joining the TopTV family during the months of October and November and a new series, The Walking Dead, will air exclusively for TopTV clients, in November on Fox FX.

TopTV Decoders are now available from all leading retailers for only R299, which is R200 less than what DStv’s standard decoder goes for. Visit www.toptv.co.za for more info or phone 086-008-6788.
