Nintendo 3DS update
By Hanleigh Daniels 10 May 2010 | Categories: newsAfter Nintendo's recent drop in profits, it's easy to see why it is banking on its upcoming 3DS portable gaming system to bolster its sluggish console sales. Their new 3DS will be 3D capable, minus the annoying 3D eyewear, and will be showcased at this year's E3 technology expo, taking place between 15 and 17 June at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata recently revealed that users will be able to easily turn off the 3D feature on the 3DS, since people have already voiced concerns over possible health effects of 3D gaming, including effects on children’s eyesight. In related news, Iwata has reportedly told senior Nintendo executives that the battle with Sony has already been won and to now regard Apple with their iPhone and iPad as their “enemy of the future”.
