Nokia C5 announced
By Hanleigh Daniels 3 March 2010 | Categories: newsNokia yesterday unveiled its latest smartphone, the C5, with this new C series set to join Nokia’s existing X-, E- and N series smartphone ranges. Spec wise it doesn't quite set the world alight, packing Symbian S60 3rd edition doing the operating; a 2.2" QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) screen; a 3.2 megapixel camera and walk and drive navigation via Ovi Maps and the integrated aGPS. A special feature allows you to view your friends' Facebook updates directly in your phone book.
Some are questioning the smartphone capabilities of this device, with Engadget calling the C5 "a heck of a featurephone" while claiming that it is "not going to woo many smartphone hunters".
Other features of the C5 includes a 2 GB mircoSD packed in the box, as well as HSDPA, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a Lithium-ion battery allowing for a talk time of up to 12 hours. Nokia's C5 smartphone will be available during the second quarter of 2010 in South Africa.
