Nokia fitted the 620 with a 3.8" WVGA (800 x 480; 246 ppi pixel density) TFT ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen, 1300 mAh battery and a 5 MP autofocus rear-facing camera with LED flash that can record HD-Ready (720p) videos at a buttery smooth 30 fps and VGA front-facing snapper for capturing self-portraits and making video calls.

Also onboard is 8 GB worth of internal storage that can be expanded to 72 GB via a microSD memory card slot that supports cards up to 64 GB in size, 3G HSDPA connectivity offering download speeds up to 21 Mbps and uploads speeds up to 5.76 Mbps, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 n, NFC (near field communication) support and Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and EDR.

“It is great to be extending the Lumia family in South Africa with the addition of our third and most affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone. The 620 adds more youthful appeal to the range and enables us to reach new audiences and markets with a highly desirable product at a competitive price,” said Colin Baumgart, general manager of Nokia South Africa.
