Nokia has announced that as of 1 December 2010, it has launched MSupport, which is a customer support service dedicated to operators and corporate customers. 
 
This service will focus on support around Nokia’s full range of Series 60 smartphones as well as business focused solutions and applications the likes of Mail for Exchange, Microsoft Lync and IBM Lotus Notes Traveller.
 
The Finnish manufacturer’s goal with M-support is to offer professional industry knowledge on business mobility and its smartphone offerings such as the E5. This according to the company will aid operators firstly, to sell the devices and solutions for them, and also to better support the clients after the sale.
 
This service will be available via a dedicated help line as well as e-mail support. It will operate 5 days a week (Sunday to Thursday) between 08:00 and 17:30. Nokia stated that support requests received outside these times will be addressed on the following business day.
 
“More operators and corporate customers are choosing Nokia as their business mobility partner,” said Scott Smith, head of Operator Channel for Nokia Middle East & Africa.
 
“With our extensive range of business smartphones and software offerings through collaboration with leading brands, we believe this is the next step in providing unparalleled, all round customer service to our valued operators and corporate customers.”
 
Assistance will be provided for amongst other hardware support, queries related to internet connectivity, software updates, viewing documents, browser settings for optimal download speeds and accessing business and productivity apps by way of the Ovi Store.
