Nokia is reportedly getting ready to unveil its latest device at next week’s Nokia Connection event in Singapore.

iTWire has reported that it has received an invitation from the Finnish phone maker to see its “newest, soon-to-be-named” device. This reveal of Nokia’s “new market disruptor” will include a live on-site demo of the product, as well as the live broadcast of Nokia CEO Stephen Elop’s keynote address. Unfortunately the invitation does not state if it’s a new smartphone or maybe even a tablet that’s to be announced.

This event will take place on 21 June during Nokia’s connection conference at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore. There has been lots of speculation online already as to what the company will be showing off next week. Whether it will be the company’s first Windows Phone 7 OS-running smartphone or Nokia’s first (and probably only) MeeGo-operating smartphone.

The latter seems more likely since Stephen Elop has previously described Nokia and Intel’s MeeGo mobile operating system (OS) as Nokia’s future disruption in mobile ecosystem.

According to the Nokia Connection event website the company will “showcase the latest and newest devices and services to customers, operators, media and analysts from the region.” So there’ll be more than one devices shown.

Nokia also recently signed a patent license agreement with Apple, ending all the patent litigation between the two tech giants.
