Following Nvidia’s unveiling of its epic GeForce GTX 580 graphics processing unit (GPU), the company has launched its GeForce GTX 570, which is its latest addition to its GTX 500 range of DirectX 11 (DX11) GPUs.

This latest GPU sports 480 CUDA cores, a graphics clock speed of 732 MHz, a processor clock speed of 1464 MHz, as well as a memory clock of 1900 MHz and 1280 MB GDDR5 RAM.

According to Nvidia the GTX 570 delivers the “world’s fastest performance for DirectX 11 (DX11) games in its class”. When compared to its closest competition (ATI Radeon HD 5870) , the GTX 570 is up to 128% faster whilst playing the latest DX11 tessellated titles and around 30% faster when playing previous-generation DX9 and DX10 games.

The new GPU also boasts full support for Nvidia 3D Vision as well as Nvidia Surround technologies, allowing users to play games and high-definition (HD) Blu-ray movies in stereoscopic 3D on a single display or across up to three displays. By employing Nvidia SLI technology, gamers will be able to add a second GeForce GTX 570 to boost their PC’s graphical performance even further.

Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 570 is already available in the States from the company’s card partners, such as ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, Leadtek, MSI, Palit and Sparkle. No local release and pricing info is available yet.
