The hotly anticipated racing title Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) will be released on 3 November and will take poll position on many a gamer’s Xmas list - its 1000 car line-up and 3D playability integration just some of its draw cards.

According to Japanese gaming news site andriasang, the game series’ creator Kazunori Yamauchi responded to questions about the game’s hard-drive install options via his Twitter page.

Yamauchi stated that to be able to run the game, players will need just 256 MB of free space, but for a smooth playing experience, he recommended a whopping ten GB of free HDD space. He didn’t elaborate on what he meant by “smooth” playing experience or exactly what type of files the ten GB of installation data comprises off.

GT5 is one of our games to watch out for during 2010 as it will be bringing the ultra realistic graphics of the franchise to the PlayStation 3 in glorious high-definition and will boast realistic race damage to the vehicles.
