PEP introduces its free text service
By Hanleigh Daniels 9 November 2010 | Categories: newsSouth African retailer PEP has announced that it is launching a new free text messaging service. PEP Text (PEPtxt) is an application that customers can download to their Java enabled cell phones.
Users can either SMS the word PEPtxt to 32727, after which they will receive the link from which to download the application or they can accept an SMS invite from PEP or a friend. Alternatively customers can also download the application from PEPtxt.mobi. Once they have registered, they will be able to add their friends and send messages free of charge.
When users invite their friends to join PEPtxt, they will also automatically be entered into a launch competition to stand a chance of winning a share of R1 million. This competition closes at the end of January 2011.
For more information about PEPtxt phone PEP’s call centre on 0860-123-269.
