PSP and PSP Go owners can now carry their entire comic book collection with them wherever they go with Digital Comics, a new service that lets you read and store all your favourite comic books on your PSP.

There’s a considerable variety of comic books on offer from the Comic Store of the PlayStation Store. Once you’ve downloaded the books you can enjoy reading it to the sounds of your favourite band or any appropriate mood music that’s stored on your PSP or memory card. The service is available on all PSP models, including PSP-1000, PSP-2000 and PSP-3000, as well as on the new PSP Go.

You can kick of your selection with a range of free comics available from the Comic Store and from there, progress to the comic book catalogue for something more specific that you’re into with most of the digital editions going for R15. You can also chat to other Digital Comics users.

Sony are being supported by a wide selection of publishers, including Marvel Entertainment, IDW Publishing, Disney and iVerse Media, meaning there’s plenty of choice on offer and to look forward to, as the selection will only be updated on a weekly basis.
