The Vodacom Bulls aren't just on top of the Super 14 log, but they also seem to be leading the pack when it comes to consumer electronics. After last month’s introduction of the Blue Bull branded TomTom Start featuring the voices of five famous players, Samsung today announced that they'll be the official electronics sponsor to the Vodacom Bulls for the next three years.

In addition to its sponsorship Samsung will also be providing a range of products for the two Bulls Development Houses, where young players between the age of 18 and 20 years receive training, nutrition and medical attention. From now on these future sport stars will be able to watch rugby matches on Samsung television sets as part of the Vodacom Bulls High Performance Centre training initiative.

"We are extremely proud to be associated with a rugby team of the calibre of the Vodacom Bulls," says Mr KK Park, CEO of Samsung Electronics South Africa. "They have a proud history of success, which  is in line with our organisational philosophy."

“We warmly welcome Samsung, as our new electronics sponsor, to the Vodacom Bulls family, said Blue Bulls Company CEO, Barend van Graan. "This partnership with Samsung is a perfect fit with the Vodacom Bulls, as both our brands provide entertainment to our respective customers. The Vodacom Bulls play rugby, which is watched by millions of South Africans on TV each week, when they’re not physically attending the matches at the stadium. And with Samsung being a global leader, I’m sure thousands of our supporters around the country are watching our matches on Samsung TV screens in their homes or at pubs and restaurants."
