Last month Apple added some more fuel to its ongoing patent war with Samsung, by filing a new lawsuit against the company in the US over alleged patent infringement. Now, the Korean tech giant is looking to get some payback on its home turf, as it has filed a lawsuit which claims that the iPhone 4S as well as the iPad 2 infringes upon three of its patents.

According to Reuters, Samsung filed this latest lawsuit on Tuesday in a court based in Seoul. This lawsuit involves three utility patents that deals with methods for displaying information, the user interface, and short text messages respectively.

The Apple vs. Samsung patent war kicked off in April last year when Apple sued Samsung, claiming that the Korean company’s Galaxy range of Android-powered smartphones and tablets infringes upon some of its patents and design trademarks. Since that time, the patent war has grown to encompass over 30 cases in ten countries.

In other patent related news, Kodak recently asked the bankruptcy court to prevent Apple from suing it over alleged patent infringements.
