Starcraft II pricing comparison
By Tom Manners 26 July 2010 | Categories: newsGamers the world over will be reunited with an old friend tomorrow when Blizzard finally releases the follow up to its 1998 smash hit real time strategy (RTS) title Starcraft.
After years spent in development the sequel to Starcraft, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, will be made available to gamers the world over tomorrow, ushering in a new era of Blizzard dominated RTS titles.
Wings of Liberty will be the first of three Starcraft II packages to be released and will represent the Terran (human) race. The Zerg based Heart of the Swarm and Protoss based Legacy of the Void are expected to follow soon after.
As a whole, the series is expected to follow four years after the events in Starcraft: Brood War and will introduce a host of new units, buildings and gameplay types to the title.
To label Starcraft II as the most anticipted games of the year would be a gross understatement. It is without a doubt one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the decade and should net publishers Blizzard Activision a healthy revenue stream for years to come.
In honour of the impending release we at TechSmart have compiled a Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty pricing comparison which gives you an idea of where to pick up your copy.
Both BT Games and Zaps will be holding midnight events to commemorate the release.
