Nokia’s highly anticipated N8 smartphone will reportedly be the final phone in the N-series range that will have the Symbian OS doing the operating, as the N-series will become the high-end domain of MeeGo OS
 
According CNET Australia every phone in the N-Series range after the N8 will run MeeGo, leaving Symbian^3 (as well as the future version 4) to power the Finnish manufacturer’s X- and E-series devices.
 
The more affordable C-series range will be making use of the existing Series 40 platform and the first device that will utilise MeeGo will be the N9.
