The woman’s husband took her then three year old daughter and two year old son and told her she would never see them again. After a long and exhaustive search, she stumbled upon her daughter's Facebook page in March. She contacted her via the site and also got in touch with the local authorities. The husband was arrested and the children were placed in the care of the Department of Children and Families, with custody reverting back to their mother.

Google is now “close” to resolving these concerns.
