Toshiba this week announced a number of additions to its South Africa stable of products, namely the innovative Libretto W100 dual screen notebook, the AC100 Android smartbook and the Portege R700.

Libretto W100

Toshiba’s Libretto W100 is a dual screen laptop which incorporates dual 7” touch-screen displays with respective resolution of 1024 x 600 as both input and output interfaces. In addition to this it also features Windows 7 Home Premium as its operating system, a 1.2 GHz Intel processor, 2 GB of DDR3 memory, a 64 GB SSD drive, wireless and Bluetooth connectivity and Micro SD support.

AC100 Android smartbook

The AC100 is Toshiba’s first notebook to run exclusively on Google’s Android platform, and one of the first to make it to South African shores. It features a version of Android 2.1 (Eclair), a 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra processor, 512 MB of DDR2 RAM and 3 GB of SSD storage, a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and an impressive eight hour battery life.

Portege R700 notebook

Toshiba’s Portege R700 continues in the company’s tradition of building quality mid to high end notebooks.

It features a 13.6” HD displaly with a resolution of 1366 x 768, Intel’s powerful Core i7 processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 128 GB serial SATA hard drive, Bluetooth and Wireless support and an impressive eight hour battery life.
