Starting today Vodacom is bringing back the Power Hour, an appealing offering for prepaid subscribers. The new promotion will offer customers one hour of talk time for only R10 and runs untill 28 February 2013.

There is a catch though – the promotion is only valid when calling other Vodacom customers. The bundle can be purchased between 6 am and 6 pm on weekdays and customers can make calls to family and friends of up to an hour until 8 pm on the day of purchase.

Mostafa ElBeltagy, managing executive for Prepaid Segments at Vodacom said: “The Power Hour concept proved to be an instant hit with customers since they could talk for an hour during peak times at reduced rates. We’ve brought Power Hour back and this time we’ve extended the times from 6 am to 8 pm.”

To access the promotion, customers need to dial *111# free from their cellphones, select ‘Power Hour’ and buy a bundle.
Once customers have used up their 60 minutes of talk time voice calls will be charged according to their current price plan rate. All unused minutes will expire at 8 pm on the day of purchase.

This offer can be enjoyed by prepaid customers who have been active on the Vodacom network for the last 30 days. Customers need to have a minimum of R10 in their cellphone wallet to purchase the bundle. Customers can only purchase one bundle per day during the week, resulting in a limit of five Power Hour bundles each week.

For further information about this promotion customers can visit www.vodacom.co.za or call 082 1187 free from a Vodacom cellphone.

In related Vodacom news, the cellular company announced recently that its LTE rollout has reached Cape Town.
