Vodacom launches Free4Sho promotion
By Staff Writer 11 February 2013 | Categories: newsVodacom has announced that starting 10 February 2013, it will be launching ‘Free4Sho’, a new customer promotion that comprises of a range of products and services.
Free4Sho guarantees free benefits to the operator’s customers, the first of which is a new prepaid price plan called Vodacom Daily Free Calls, whereby clients pay a new flat rate of R1.20 per minute to all networks. Calls made to Vodacom customers will only be charged for the first three minutes, with the rest of the hour being free.
With Vodacom Daily Free Calls, customers receive free minutes on every call, every day, peak or off peak, including weekends. In the event that the call duration exceeds one hour, the first three minutes of the second hour is billed at R1.20 per minute, whilst the rest of the hour will also be free.
Prepaid customers can change from their current price plan to Vodacom Daily Free Calls by calling 1181 direct from their Vodacom cellphones, or phone *111#, select FreeChange and follow the prompts.
Vodacom’s CEO Shameel Joosub stated: “Vodacom Daily Free Calls is simple, easy to use and offers great value to our customers. Customers will pay as little as 6 cents per minute and this is not a promotional offer, it’s a brand new prepaid price plan suitable for customers who make longer calls.”
Joosub added: “Our slogan is ‘There’s free. Then there’s Free4Sho’ and that’s because our customers will receive free benefits, guaranteed. So whenever customers see ‘Free4Sho’ they can always expect extra value free of charge”.
In related news, Vodacom also recently revived the Power Hour offering for prepaid subscribers, which provides them with one hour of talk time for only R10 and runs until 28 February 2013.
