BlackBerry Touch Awesomeness competition - week 3
By Hanleigh Daniels 26 March 2012 | Categories: sponsored contentBlackBerry’s Touch Awesomeness competition enters its third week and this week, the competition calls upon entrants to test their awesome taste in pop culture.
Last week we let our fingers do the talking during the Fingers of Awesomeness task, which had us setting a scene using our keyboard-loving digits, which expressed our love of Fridays and weekends.
This week’s challenge
The third week’s challenge is called the all-knowing Awesometer and involves a timed quiz, whereby entrants are given a choice between two things and asked to choose the most awesome. You get 119 seconds to complete this challenge and are provided with a score based on the correct number of answers (out of 26), as well as the time it takes you to complete the challenge.
Since you get about four and a half seconds to make each selection (otherwise you won’t finish in time), we could not afford to ponder too long when it came to the less obvious selections. For instance, we found some choices to be a little more challenging such as choosing between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, as the power of the dark side was very seductive. Making your X for either President Obama or JFK was also worth considering, whilst the one between Jack Parrow and Kurt Darren probably took less than a millisecond.
Our score, unfortunately, came to 15 out of 26 in terms of selections with 58 seconds left on the clock, resulting in a final points tally of 855. Submitting this score meant that we added another 214 points of Awesomeness to our competition tally.
