Demystifying Wireless-N

IEEE 802.11n, or the Wireless-N standard, supports significantly improved data rates (up to six times that of 802.11g), also providing up to three times the wireless coverage area of an 802.11g capable device.

This means that a home served by a single Wireless-N capable Wi-Fi router suffers from fewer "dead spots" where there is no Internet connection, whilst businesses have speedier access to bandwidth-intensive applications including video conferencing and wireless VoIP (Voice over IP).
