BenQ's MP515 budget projector is worth looking at since it has both an above average contrast ratio and brightness.

Above average contrast and brightness, wall colour correction, two D-sub ports
CONS
SVGA resolution not that big, so-so lamp life
VERDICT
If you're projecting on a budget, the MP515 is a very decent projector.
