Billion has made quite a name for themselves by developing some competitive products in the SSL VPN market. In 2006 Billion claimed that they had produced the first affordable small business gateway solution to incorporate a firewall, the S10.

The S20 is the next step up for a business looking for a VPN solution. The S20 can handle up to 20 simultaneous SSL VPN tunnels and also offers dual WAN ports, supporting failover and load balancing.

At the back of the S20 you’ll find eight Ethernet ports and a Gigabit uplink port. There are also two WAN ports that can provide either load balancing or failover. We liked that the S20 has no fan, so operation is silent, if only all PCs were too. On the software side, the S20 is set up via a simple web interface, but be warned the instruction book is not a two page leaflet, it’s over 300 pages long, luckily with lots of pictures.
