If you’ve ever tried to set up a local area network for your home or office, you know it can be a lengthy process.

Laying the Ethernet cables is one thing, but trying to make them neat and tidy is quite another. And what happens if there is another device one month down the road that needs connecting?

Edimax’s powerLine Ethernet adapters are the thinking man’s LAN solution to all these problems. It works by utilising the existing electrical wiring in your home or office, thereby eliminating unsightly cabling.

For example, if you want to connect your Internet router to another computer situated on the top floor, both have to have an Edimax homeplug Ethernet adapter plugged into a power socket close to them and be connected to this adapter via the included Ethernet cables.

As simple as this, your device will show up on the network. Also included is software that will help you secure the network and check the data rate quality of each connection.
