In the 90’s nothing was cooler than a mutant reptile protected by a carapace with the abilities of speech and martial arts. If you once ran about pretending your schoolbag was a shell you’ll know what we’re on about; the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of course.

Backpacks generally lacked that air of authenticity when pretending to be Leonardo and co. though, requiring some real imagination. The Logitech Kinetik notebook backpack resolves some of these issues. With a light weight exo-shell fashioned from ballistic nylon, polyurethane/ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) composite, and polyester the backpack is seriously rugged. While the backpack won’t make you green it is about as close to a half-shell as you’re ever going to get.

The backpack is designed to hold a standard 15.4" notebook but can also accommodate a 17" MacBook Pro. It has every kind of pocket conceivable to house every kind of consumer electronics device available and offers excellent lumbar support and comfort.

To cap it all off the backpack really does look good with its red and black micro-fiber back and shoulder pads. On the down side however the exo-shell will suffer from cosmetic blemished such as scratches if heavily abused. With an RRP of R1399 incl VAT it is a bit pricey.

PROS
Excellent materials and very comfortable
CONS
Pricey and exo-shell suffers cosmetic blemishes
