Über stylish; the LG30 series of LCD TV’s is a focal point in any room. We recently reviewed the 47" LG30 and it was not found wanting.

Screen, casing, stand and all are black so the set looks incredibly sleek and sexy. The set’s stand swivels up to 20-degrees, left or right, allowing you to position the set wherever you choose.

The 47LG30 is a widescreen, 16:9 aspect ratio, set with a contrast ratio of 1200:1. It boasts a resolution of 1366 x 768p and has 3x HDMI V1.3 connections which cut response times down to 5m/s and ensures that the set is HD ready.

From a usability perspective the set is a dream.  It has an ‘Expert Mode’ which allows viewers to completely customise every audio visual setting imaginable. However, for the less savvy viewers who hate fiddling it offers a number of preset enhanced AV modes such as Cinema, Sport and Game modes. The set literally works straight out of the box, without a compromise in picture quality.

The LG30 series also features a very cool ‘Invisible Speaker’. We did a thorough inspection and are still baffled by the origin of its audio output. The TV’s audio system, which includes a built-in woofer, was tuned by none other Mr. Mark Levinson, a true legend in home entertainment. The set consequently delivers an acoustic sweet spot which projects sound, of all ranges, evenly in a forward facing direction, from the set.

This is an incredible set that will meet just about all of your viewing needs.

RRP: R20999. The set is available from Cats Digital visit www.catsdigital.co.za.
