Cell phones, iPods, and PSPs being part of daily life, means ‘portable speakers’ are nothing new – in fact they’re an accessory. But how portable are they in reality? Divoom’s iTour-10 might provide some perspective.
This diminutive device goes virtually unfelt in any pocket. It’s what you might call ultra-portable (just a tad bigger than a golf ball). The speaker comes in a range of colours which adds to its accessory factor. It’s compatible with a range of media devices from MP3-players, notebooks, and portable consoles to cell phones.
The device has an internal battery which is charged via USB or DC sources and has a playtime of 7–8 hours. Charging takes 3–4 hours which is one of its few cons. In terms of sound quality the speaker doesn’t disappoint. The sound output is quite phenomenal at 2.4W, size considered. The speaker also has an expanding ‘resonator’ when open, offering better sound quality and base. The speaker’s capsule shape allows for 360? sound distribution. Best of all it’s only R149.
