16 minutes of gameplay footage for Middle-earth: Shadow of War surfaces
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 9 March 2017 | Categories: newsEasily one of the best games of the year when it debuted in 2014, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor answered our call for a worthy Lord of the Rings-inspired video game. Its successor, Shadow of War, was detailed via an announcement trailer last week and now publisher WB Games has released 16 minutes of gameplay footage for us to fawn over and dissect.
Amongst others, we get to see how the newly developed Nemesis System makes each battle in Shadow of War immersive and unique. To that end, it's not simply a case of storming each enemy stronghold and slashing your way through, but rather coming up with a winning strategy and executing it with precision. There are also more story-driven elements, which will dictate alliances and the types of warriors you have fighting by your side.
Also on display during this gameplay video is Talion, aka the Bright Lord, and his newly forged ring of power that allows him to recruit followers during battle, as well as connecting him to Sauron.
