There were a bunch of cool trailers this week already, but here are four more to hit up before the weekend.

Bad Times at the El Royale

12 October 2018 (UK)

The trailer for Bad Times at the El Royale looks like this might be one of the movies that, much like L.A. Noire, leaves a lingering aftertaste. Featuring a shirtless Chris Hemsworth (Thor), a priestly Jeff Bridges (Tron), and the charming as ever Jon Hamm (Mad Men), the movie takes us to the El Royale hotel, a place that hides many secrets. Seven strangers meet for a shot at redemption, but, with a lot of killing going on, we think it might not go all that well.

Best bit: The first kill at 0:36.

The Girl in the Spider's Web

9 November 2018 (UK)

Fans of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium books will know that the fourth title, The Girl in the Spider's Web, was not authored by him, added posthumously by writer David Lagercrantz. The new film, much like the book, also feels like an add on, not part of the original Swedish trilogy, and also not a continuation of David Fincher’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

This ‘reboot’ stars Claire Foy (The Crown) as hacker Lisbeth Salander, while Sverrir Gudnason, who we saw in Borg McEnroe, plays journalist Mikael Blomkvist. The movie is directed by Uruguayan Fede Alvarez, known for horrors such as Don't Breathe and Evil Dead. As such, it could be appealing to those who wished for another Lisbeth Salandar movie, although we can’t say we’re not disappointed that the role didn’t go to Yolandi Visser from Die Antwoord.

Best bit: The wife’s reaction when she hears the money will be transferred to her.

How to Train your Dragon 3

1 February 2019 (UK)

The two previous HTTYD movies were great, and it looks like more of the same for the third and final instalment in the series. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World sees the gang – Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), Astrid (America Ferrera) and Toothless – finding a Viking/dragon utopia. More than that, Toothless also discovers that he’s not the last of his kind, with a white female Night Fury occupying his attention. There’s not too much time for mating games, as the peaceful village soon comes under attack, and this time it might be the humans saving the dragons.

Best bit: Toothless’s mating dance at 1:16.

Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind

13 July 2018 (USA)

The death of Robin Williams is something that even now doesn’t feel real. The new HBO documentary, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind, takes us on-stage and off, to discover the man behind the mask. While it’s sure to explore his explosive comedy, we’re more interested in the chats with other comedians, seeing that Billy Crystal, Lewis Black and Eric Idle are all featured in the trailer.

Best bit: The more personal photos throughout.
