Allen Simpson from AnimeFanatika is back with a special report on some of the hottest new anime that's sure to keep the autumn chills away. There is a lot to choose from, so check out the list below (and trailers) to pick the ones that catches your anime fancy.

Amagi Brilliant Park

High school student, Seiya Kanie is invited on a date by the mysterious and beautiful Isuzu to Amagi Brilliant Park. There, he gets introduced to the fairy Ratifa, a ‘real’ princess and the park’s manager, who asks him to help her to save the park from being shut down. The park is not just any amusement park, it is inhabited by fairies. As with most anime, there is more to this one than meets the eye.

Gundam Build Fighters Try

Gundam Build Fighters Try takes place seven years after the events of season one, and revolves around a new Gunpla (Gundam models) tournament. The action is again set at the Seiho Academy, but the infamous Gunpla Battle Club only has one member left -  Fumina Hoshino, who is not even able to participate in the preliminaries of Japan’s national Gunpla tournament. With three members needed for a team, a transfer student with a martial arts background shows up, along with a talented Gunpla builder named Yûma Yûsaka. Does this new team have what it takes to make it to the top?

Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis (Rage of Bahamut)

In a world where gods, monsters and men live together, there looms a danger - Bahamut. In ages past, gods, monsters and men overcame their differences and fought together to seal Bahamut’s power. The key to that seal was split in two, with one piece given to the gods, and the other to the demons. Two thousand years later a woman steals the gods’ half of the key. With swordplay, magic, knights and dragons, there is very little not to like about Rage of Bahamut.

Terra Formars

Terra Formars takes place in the year 2577, hundreds of years after well-intended scientists sent cockroaches to Mars to terraform it and make it hospitable for human life. Expecting a liveable planet, manned ships land on Mars only to discover large humanoid cockroaches with superhuman (or is that super cockroach?) strength. This calls for elite warriors to kill the bugs (Terraformars), but where exactly did the bugs come from? A life action flick is also in the works, based on Terra Formars popularity in Japan.

Kyoukai no Rinne

Kyoukai no Rinne follows Sakura Mamiya, a girl that disappeared as a child but returned (safely) with the ability to see ghosts. Stuck in school now as a teenager, she still has her spectral visions, enough to know that something is up when her long absent classmate, Rinne Rokudo unexpectedly shows up. Rokudo’s real purpose is soon revealed and this forms the core of the series.

Digimon Adventure Tri

Everybody’s favourite Digidestined are back. Well, not quite just yet, since the series is set to start in May. While we first met them as kids, the gang is now all grown up, trying their best as high school students. Taichi is seventeen and still fighting to save both the real and digital world in the Digimon Adventure universe. The series was first announced at last year’s Digimon Adventure 15th Anniversary celebrations. While not a lot is known about the storyline of the series, you can expect the usual Digimon action.

Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka?

This anime’s long name might just be appropriate, since it’s set in the fictional town of Orario, which hides a massive labyrinth underneath. Meet Bel Cranel, a newbie adventurer who comes to Orario in search of his destiny. Soon attacked by a Minotaur and almost a goner, he is saved by the top-notch female adventurer, Eyes Warenstein. As expected, he quickly falls in love with her and decides on the only appropriate course of action - to become an adventurer on par with her skills. With its name translating to “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” expect more than just one love interest coming Bel’s way.
