Adult Swim orders 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 11 May 2018 | Categories: NewsFew animated series have generated the cult following and fervour that Rick and Morty has in recent years, which is why there was such an uproar when series creator Dan Harmon stated that season four of the show was put on hold as new episodes had not been ordered by their network. Well it looks like Adult Swim has gotten the message loud and clear, and decided to double down by ordering a massive 70 episodes from the creators.
As such, we could have as many as four or five more seasons of Rick and Morty, depending on how many episodes they wish to put into each season. Justin Roiland, who voices both Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith in the series took to Twitter to confirm the news, revealing an illustration of the pair of characters as well.

While the prospect of 70 additional episodes will be great news for fans of the series, we're still on the dark as to when the fourth season will be aired. Given the fact that production has not started yet, we'll probably have to wait until 2019 to see what Rick and Morty have been up to.
