American Gods trailer for Season 2 looking good
By Staff Writer 24 January 2019 | Categories: newsIt’s good news for fans of American Gods, as Season 2 has now received a trailer. If you’ve followed the drama behind the scenes, you’ll know that previous showrunner, Bryan Fuller, claims to have been fired from the show. In a now deleted tweet, he stated, "We were in the process of reducing scope due to a dramatic budget reduction when we were fired." That didn’t bode well for the show, especially since season 2 follows the escalation of war between the new and the old gods, scenes which aren’t exactly low budget.
Nonetheless, here we are with a new trailer that looks rather great, plus a starting date – 11 March 2019. What exactly does Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) have in store for Shadow (Ricky Whittle)? What will the revelations about Laura Moon (Emily Browning) bring about? And also, what happened to Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), who played Media in Season 1? Apparently she ducked the moment that Bryan Fuller and co-showrunner Michael Green were fired, to be replaced by Kahyun Kim (Cassandra French's Finishing School ) as New Media, which we hope is an intended pun.
Hit play below to see if Neil Gaiman's source material is getting the treatment it deserves.
