At last week's Apple press conference, much of the focus was on the company's new iPhone X all-screen device. While hardware seemed to be one of the major talking points, so too was software, with Apple showcasing its iOS 11 operating system on the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. While the new OS brings a number of welcome changes and improvements, there are a few things that users are not as happy about.

One of these, apparently, is the 3D Touch gesture for accessing the multitasking screen of iOS 9 compatible devices. According to an email shared by MacRumors from Apple executive Craig Federighi, the shortcut was temporarily removed from iOS 11 due to technical constraints.

Said constraint has since been addressed, with Federighi noting that, "we will be bringing it back in an upcoming iOS 11.x update," in his email. Whether or not the multiscreen window can be accessed in the same way as it is in iOS 9, by pressing and holding the left side, then swiping up, remains to be seen.
