Luxury German car maker Audi launched its A7 Sportback in South Africa in March 2011, and has gone on to sell 335 of these five-door luxury sedans in the highly competitive premium C-segment category. The company is now aiming to turbo-boost sales even further courtesy of the introduction of a new diesel-powered model, in the form of the 3.0 TDI BiTurbo.

The top-of-the-range TDI model churns out 230 kW and a peak torque figure amounting to a whopping 650 Nm that is available between 1450 and 2800 RPM. This engine is matched up with a silky smooth 8-speed Tiptronic transmission to produce a combined cycle (town and highway driving) fuel usage figure of just 6.3 litres per 100 km, according to Audi.

The Audi A7 3.0 TDI BiTurbo is now available at all Audi Dealers with the following standard specification:

Pricing for the newly introduced model has been confirmed at R855 000, which  includes all taxes as well as a standard 5 year or 100 000km Audi Freeway Plan (maintenance and servicing costs).
