Ben Affleck shares footage of Deathstroke for Justice League
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 30 August 2016 | Categories: newsIt's hard to tell what's happening over at DC Comics when it comes to movies. Their two biggest releases, Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad failed to win over critics despite pulling in solid box office numbers. The latter in particular looked very promising. It appears though, that DC is going to try a different tact for their 2017-dated Justice League. They released a Marvel-esque trailer at SDCC for it, and now Ben Affleck (who suits up as Batman for the project) has revealed some footage for one of the villains: Deathstroke, aka Slade Wilson.
The video comes courtesy of Batfleck's Instagram, which shows smartphone recordings of an on-set monitor. Said monitor features Deathstroke in his signature black and orange suit, as he walks towards the rear section of a large military airplane of sorts.
While this footage is noteworthy, it raises several questions. The most significant of which is whether Wilson will appear in the Justice League film, or rather the Affleck-directed Batman movie. With the latter project still some distance away, we're assuming it's for the Justice League film. Also unclear is who will be playing Deathstroke, as well as how big a part he'll play in Justice League, if that is indeed where he'll feature.
As more details are likely forthcoming from DC, click on the video below and enjoy.
