Bungie details the first Iron Banner for Destiny 2
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 10 October 2017 | Categories: newsWith the first Raid of Destiny 2 done and dusted, it's time to turn the attention to the Iron Banner, which just so happens to kick off today at 11:00 (SAST). The first Iron Banner for this gaming sequel, it's set to last until 11:00 (SAST) on 17 October, with developer Bungie also detailing what the event has in store for gamers.
As far as differences are concerned, this iteration of Iron Banner will pit two teams against one another, with a minimum of four players on each side required. Added to this, power levels are said to be less of a factor in determining the matches outcome, with Bungie noting that skill will be the decider. Furthermore, Bounties and Ranks have instead been replaced by Iron Banner Engram.
If you're keen to get a taste of the Iron Banner action, only those who have completed the Campaign for Destiny 2 will be eligible, as access to the Tower is required. Along with the Engram, gamers can also earn Iron Banner coins for competing in matches, gaining more with a win. The big pay-off, however, will be the armour on offer, which comes courtesy of the Iron Lords.
