Bungie reveals new launch dates for Destiny 2 at E3 2017
By Staff Writer 13 June 2017 | Categories: newsE3 2017 is currently underway in Los Angeles, California, with the likes of EA, Ubisoft and Bethesda all showcasing their big gaming titles. Now it's the turn of Bungie, which means Destiny 2 has been given its time to shine. We've already received extensive gameplay trailers and learned quite a bit about this sequel already, but E3 2017 did allow the developer to reveal a new trailer titled Our Darkest Hour.
The trailer gives us a better look at the main antagonist for Destiny 2, Dominus Ghaul, as his Red Legion lays waste to the Citadel and he dispatches of a Guardian. This scene is likely part of the opening fight scene we saw for Destiny 2's first gameplay trailer, when Ghaul reveals himself in the darkened basement of the Citadel.
From that point on, gamers will have to tend to their wounds and prepare to take on the threat of Ghaul and the Red Legion once again. As for when that will happen, Bungie detailed new launch dates for the game.
Destiny 2 will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on 6 September, two days earlier than its originally scheduled release. PC gamers, however, will have to wait almost six weeks longer, with that version of Destiny 2 arriving on 24 October.
