Just because you're saving the galaxy from deadly enemies and impending destruction, does not mean you can't have a bit of fun. As such, Destiny gamers should be intrigued to know that 18 new emotes will be coming to The Taken King later today. The emotes themselves are far ranging, with everything from dropping to your knees in agony, to doing 'The Carlton'. 

The emotes can be purchased in-game with a new currency called silver, but are not requisite purchases, but rather a way that Bungie is trying to keep Destiny interesting. While they may seem a little gimmicky, the emotes are certainly a fun way to pass some time, as the sandbox of Destiny can be a little lonely at times. 

According to Polygon, Bungie has been sending out batches of emotes to several YouTubers to "test out," most of which we've included in videos below. At the moment, the total stands at 18 new emotes, and you can click on the videos after the break to see them in action, courtesy of Arekkz Gaming, Datto Does Destiny and easynow.
