With numerous gameplay trailers to dissect, such as the ones for The Last of Us: Part II, Ghost of Tsushima and Marvel's Spider-Man, some of the announcements for new games may have slipped by you. Luckily, we've rounded up trailers for the biggest and most interesting looking games from E3 2018.
Scroll down and enjoy.
Halo Infinite
This year's E3 2018 saw Xbox and PlayStation square off once again, this time round focusing on the exclusive titles that each platform will be showcasing. We have to give the edge to the Japanese company, but Xbox may have a future ace up its sleeve in Halo Infinite, which teased fans with a short trailer.
Release date: TBC
Why we're excited: It's a new Halo game. Plus it has a new Slipspace game engine.
The Elder Scrolls VI
Much of the focus for Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference was on Fallout 76, but the developer did have some time to announce a new Skyrim game with The Elder Scrolls VI, which is currently in pre-production. Absolutely nothing is known about this upcoming title, other than Bethesda working on it.
Release date: TBC
Why we're excited: The prospect of a proper new Elder Scrolls game.
Cyberpunk 2077
One of the more talked about games at E3 2018, Cyberpunk 2077 has been on the cards for a reveal at the gaming expo for the past of couple of years, and finally developer CD Projekt Red has delivered. The trailer itself did not offer up any definitive detail on the first-person RPG open-world game, but media are buzzing about it, having seen 50 minutes worth of gameplay footage.
Release date: TBC
Why we're excited: From the same developer of The Witcher 3.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Developer From Software has a pretty good tried and tested formula, having produced superb games like Bloodborne and the Dark Soul series. Their latest project takes the same brutal hack and slash concept and transports it to feudal Japan with Sekiro: Shadows Doe Twice. With no word on Bloodborne, this forthcoming game will have to fill the void.
Release date: 2019
Why we're excited: Bloodborne, but with samurai.
Fallout 76
Bethesda's Fallout franchise is headed into new territory with its latest iteration - Fallout 76. This time round, intrepid gamers will be playing online, with a new multiplayer aspect thrown into the mix. There is still the promise of solo play as you exit the vault and roam around a radiation filled version of West Virginia.
Release date: 14 November 2018.
Why we're excited: A timely follow up to the wildly impressive Fallout 4.
Gears 5
Easily one of Xbox's standout exclusive series, Gears of War is getting a new addition in the form of Gears 5, with the cinematic trailer confirming its arrival. The focus is shifting to Kait Diaz for Gears 5, who we first encountered in the previous game. Added to the new protagonist are Arctic and Jungle levels, and hopefully a fresher storyline for a game that's gotten a little stale of late.
Release date: 2019
Why we're excited: The chance to freshen things up.
Forza Horizon 4
Like many games at E3 2018, the Forza franchise is going open-world for its latest installment. Forza Horizon 4 also promises greater realism than ever before (as is always the case), with dynamic weather and seasonal changes added to the mix. The setting for many of the in-game races will be Britain, with the countryside serving up some nice vistas as you negotiate a particularly difficult turn. There's the added prospect of 450 cars to collect as well.
Release date: 2 October 2018
Why we're excited: The chance to drive cars we could never actually afford.
JUMP FORCE
With every movie studio trying to create cinematic universes, let's not forget that the world of gaming began merging different worlds into one shared experience. The latest such offering comes from Bandai Namco, which is bringing heroes like Goku, Naruto and Monkey D. Luffy together in JUMP FORCE. The details are slim on this title, but it looks like you'll be able to knock the snot out of Frieza, if the trailer is anything to go by.
Release date: 2019
Why we're excited: Finding out how Death Note factors in.
