E3 brings new Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End trailer to ogle at
By Ryan Noik 16 June 2015 | Categories: newsThere was really one thing we needed to see from Sony at E3, and that was more Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Happily, the company didn’t disappoint, bringing an action packed seven and a half minutes, showing Nathan and Sully doing what they do best – get into (and almost out of) a sticky situation.
What’s particularly interesting about the E3 trailer though, is how much is apparently happening on screen simultaneously – with bullets flying, bags of flour exploding, pedestrians (and chickens) jumping out of the way, an armoured vehicle spewing bullets, all amid an exquisitely detailed locale that shifts seamlessly from a dense market to sprawling streets.
It’s a clear indication that the PS4 can handle a lot more details than its predecessor, and that Naughty Dog has made good use of all that power.
Our only concern though is the dialogue between Nate and Sully – occasional phrases are repetitive and at times seem a bit forced; we just hope that creative director and writer Amy Hennig’s departure shortly into Uncharted 4’s development hasn’t hurt the excellent storytelling and dialogue the franchise is known to deliver. In any event though, the trailer is still a treat nonetheless. Take a look below.
