Elon Musk plans to build a retro-style drive-in restaurant in Los Angeles
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 8 January 2018 | Categories: newsWhen it comes to Tesla Motors, a drive-in restaurant is probably the last thing that people think about. For co-founder Elon Musk though, electric vehicles and cheeseburgers are far similar concepts than one might think. To that end, Musk recently took to Twitter for an intriguing announcement, with a retro-styled drive-in restaurant in the works for somewhere in the Los Angeles, California region.
Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA

Along with servers in roller skates, the restaurant will feature one of Tesla's Supercharger platforms. The concept then, appears to allow drivers to charge their vehicle while getting a bite to eat. With charging of a Tesla car's battery taking anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour depending on its level, having something for car owners to do makes sense. Mixing American dining nostalgia with new-age vehicle technology, Musk and Tesla Motors could have a truly enticing concept on its hands. How good the food will be though, remains to be seen.
