Elon Musk shows The Boring Company's Flamethrower in action

The first mention of the device came via The Boring Company's CEO Elon Musk, who stated that they would sell a flamethrower if they sold 50 000 branded hats.
Over the weekend Musk took to Instagram to show the flamethrower in action, igniting the device and waving it around. The video also featured the caption "Do not do this," which we certainly concur with. It should be noted that Musk never pulls the trigger to shoot any flames, so it still remains unclear as to what extent this flamethrower can perform. Nevertheless it certainly looks the part and at $500 (excluding tax) definitely costs a pretty penny.
