Falcon’s flight cancelled to Comic Con
By Staff Writer 14 September 2018 | Categories: newsDamn, talk about events halfway across the world that has an impact here. Anthony Mackie, better perhaps know as Falcon from The Avengers, has withdrawn from Comic Con Africa due to Hurricane Florence.
Hurricane Florence, a Category 4 hurricane, has been approaching the Southeast Coast of the United States of America and has resulted in over one million people being evacuated and thousands of flights delayed and cancelled. It is due to this that Anthony is unable to travel to South Africa for Comic Con Africa.
Comic Con Africa apologised to all of Anthony’s fans for the disappointment caused by this unfortunate turn of events.
It makes him the third star that misses the inaugural Comic Con, with Jason Momoa (Aquaman) cancelling his appearance, and Rick Worthy (The Magicians, Man in the High Castle) also not coming due to scheduling conflicts. Damore Barnes (American Gods and The Flash) Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Yetide Badaki (American Gods) however, are still on the cards.
Comic Con Africa is of course starting today at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre. If you are looking to attend, you better pack your bags and head to the entrance, since tickets are sold out already for tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.
