It’s somewhat dim and inexplicable news for Xbox One gamers, as Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 4 Complete Edition won’t be coming to the Xbox One. The next gen console is not the only one sitting in the corner on this one – neither will the PS3 or Xbox 360 receive this version either. Instead, it will only be available for PS4 and PC players.

The decision not to release the version on last gen consoles is understandable – developers have been steadily turning their attentions to catering to the next-gen consoles’ gaming library. Indeed, there no shortage of remastered versions of last gen games being made available, but it is an odd choice to exclude a next-gen console from a bundled edition of a game that was, from the outset, multiplatform.

The Complete Edition looks like quite a substantial collection, bringing the main game (of course) along with the five pieces of DLC released to date. These include The Syringe, Escape from Durgesh Prison, Valley of the Yetis as well as Overrun and the Hurk deluxe pack.

What’s equally as puzzling as the Xbox One exclusion is that apparently the Complete Edition will be coming to Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) but whether the US receives it at all hasn’t been confirmed.
