In a twist of biblical proportions, our hedonistic protagonist of the Mengelmoes series does a 180 and finds his salvation in religion. In #5 Spiritual Willem, however, is far from saved, even though he has been weed (and band) free for a year. Constantly tempted by lust lying in wait in the shadows, he’s also not liberated from ex-girlfriend Milli, casting her alluring net all the way from London.

Watch out for the guest appearances from William Kentridge, Zapiro, Anton Kannemeyer (Bittercomix) and, returning from Mengelmoes #1 for a bit of ultraviolence, Judge Dredd (Dredd only made a previous cut of the comic but unfortunately not to print).
