We were among the many that were pleased to hear that a second Pacific Rim film was in the works, but also a bit disheartened to hear Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy) would not be helming the project. Nevertheless, it enlisted the talents of young British actor John Boyega (The Force Awakens) as the main protagonist, which still kept us interested.

Now a fully fledged trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising: has landed online, and opinion is certainly divided on whether this film suffers from CGI-bloat. In it, we see Boyega, along with a band of other Jaeger pilots, taking on a new group of Kaiju, this time 'evolved' from the ones we saw in the original.

With the scale increasing on every level for this sequel, at the very least you should get your fill on machine versus monster action. With it set to land in cinemas next year in March, we're sure more trailers are on the horizon, hopefully with a less Transformers feel to it.
