First full trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story lands online
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 9 April 2018 | Categories: newsThe road to completion for the standalone Han Solo movie has proved shaky to be the least, but the films 25 May (United States) release date is now close at hand. In order to further amp up anticipation for the spin-off prequel movie, a fully fledged trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Movie has landed on YouTube.
In it we get to see most of the key players, including the young Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!). Joining him on this escapade will be Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), who we find out is 190 years old during the trailer, as well as a super cool Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover, Atlanta), Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke, Game of Thrones) and Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson, True Detective).
The entire gang is headed on a mission to steal something very important from some very bad guys, with not much else known except an elaborate scene involving a space train. As such, it's shaping up quite nicely, especially with Ron Howard (Rush, A Beautiful Mind) helming things. Whether or not Ehrenreich has the same swagger as a young Harrison Ford remains to be seen.
Hit play on the trailer below and enjoy.
