First images of Galaxy Note 8 leaked ahead of 23 August event
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 1 August 2017 | Categories: newsBy now, leaked images surfacing a couple of weeks before a device is set to be unveiled, is nothing new in the consumer tech industry. One of the regular victims of this is Samsung, whose devices are routinely leaked ahead of time. Their impending Galaxy Note 8 is no different, as serial leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) takes to Twitter to share some images of the new phablet.

While we sit on the fence when it comes to leaks, often as their validity is hard to determine, Blass is usually on the money when he decides to share a scoop. As such, this latest batch of images affords us the opportunity to dissect Samsung's forthcoming phablet.
In terms of design, this offering is far 'boxier' compared to its predecessor, with sharper corners. It also has a far longer body to house the new infinity display it's touting, although precise dimensions are unknown for now. Moving to the rear, just like the Galaxy S8, Samsung has seen fit to place the fingerprint reader next to the camera. Speaking of which, the camera on the Note 8 appears to be sporting two lenses, which could mean an improved setup is on the cards.

At the moment, all we have are the images to go off of, but knowing Blass, we should receive some details about the Note 8's specs and features before Samsung officially unveils the device in New York on 23 August.
