An interesting new movie trailer dropped last night - Valerian and the city of a Thousand Planets. Adapted from the French comics of Pierre Christin (Empire of a Thousand Planets), the film enlists the talents of Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, Lucy), along with the acting chops of Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and rising model turned actress Cara Delevigne (Suicide Squad).

While the film is fill to the brim with action, we actually no very little about the storyline. What can be inferred, however, is that DeHaan will be playing the titular character, and the likely hero of the piece. Other than that, how closely it will stick to the original source material remains to be seen.

Nevertheless, it's the special effects and CGI that garners the most attention in this trailer, which leads us to believe the film could go one of two ways. Furthermore, Besson's films have received mixed reactions in years gone past, with 2014's Lucy being a prime example. For now, we'll hold off judgement until more trailers and information arrive, and allow you to enjoy the trailer below.
