With a cold front currently gripping South Africa, chances are you're staying indoors. It might be kismet then, that the PlayStation Store has kicked off its mid-year sale. Week 1 is currently underway, bringing with it a number of noteworthy discounts to tempt you to depart with some hard earned cash.

While discounts vary from title to title, Sony is offering up to 80% for PlayStation gamers, with PlayStation Plus ones receiving up to 90% off on select games. This set of discounts will run until 7 July, with the second week coming into effect thereafter.

The discounts also span all Sony's gaming platforms. On the PS4 for example, DOOM (30% off) and Homefront: The Revolution (25% off) are available for $42 and $45 respectively. For PS3 owners, Resident Evil 2: Revelations Deluxe Edition (40% off) stands out at $18. On the PS Vita, Sony has slashed 50% off Toukiden: Kiwami, costing $20.

With many more discounts on offer, we advise you head to the PlayStation Store and choose your discount wisely.
